Family Medicine Opportunity in Forest City, Iowa
Join MercyOne Forest City Family Medicine, a busy practice with instant volume- replacement for a retiring provider! You will be part of a team of five APP's providing traditional outpatient family or internal medicine (based on physician training). Call is 1: 5-6 weeks. The practice offers lab, X-Ray, EKG, behavioral services, and family counseling on site. You will work with tenured RN's and experienced office staff. The practice is located 30 miles from MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center- Mason City, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital- named Top 100 Hospital nationally. Specialist outreach- including Ortho and Podiatry is available. Telemedicine and teleradiology are also available.
MercyOne Medical Group- North Iowa offers a $150,000 bonus package! You will receive a $300,908 2-year guaranteed base salary and up to $15,000 in moving allowance. Full benefits package, including paid malpractice and tail coverage; benefits start day 1 of employment! The regional health system covers 15 counties, includes MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, eight critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. The network service area is approximately 260,000.
Forest City, Iowa- "Where nature is close, and friends are closer" has a population of 4,200. It is 30 min west of Mason City; 2 hours from Minneapolis and Des Moines. The community has excellent schools, is home to Winnebago Industries, Waldorf University, and Country Thunder Music Festival, held annually in June. Community amenities include Pilot Knob State Park, fine arts center, aquatic center, nine beautiful parks, YMCA fitness center, library, 18-hole golf course, 21-hole disc golf course, canoe down the Winnebago River, 15 miles of bike trails, and an abundance of outdoor recreation.

Qualifications: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
