Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded Material Handler / CDL A Driver to support CRI’s recycling operations. This hybrid role involves approximately 90% warehouse material handling and 10% driving. You’ll assist in warehouse operations, safely moving and staging recyclable materials, and occasionally operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport non-hazardous industrial waste and recyclables between customer locations and CRI facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load, unload, and stage materials.
• Handle containers, drums, totes, and pallets safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, manifests, and labels in accordance with company standards.
• Perform warehouse housekeeping, organization, and material flow support.
• When driving, safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for transport of materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company standards.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures to protect yourself, coworkers, and the environment.
• Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams for efficient workflow.
• Represent CRI professionally at all times, both on the road and in the facility.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum 2–3 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Background and drug screening required.
• Clean driving record; able to pass DOT physical.
• Prior warehouse or material handling experience required.
• Knowledge of load securement, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Safety-first mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in coordination with others.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move containers, drums, and materials as needed.
• Climb, bend, kneel, and perform physical work in warehouse and outdoor conditions.
• Comfortable operating equipment and vehicles safely.
