We seek a detail-oriented, safety sensitive, driven Pipeline Skilled Laborer to join our growing team. As a Skilled Laborer, daily work will involve installation of natural gas Pipelines and facilities. Roles and Responsibilities Installation of new steel gas mains and facilities Sand blast, coat, bolt up with knowledge of torque specifications, space pipe and be familiar with high pressure testing Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, observation, and other methods Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading Plan pipe system layout, installation, and repairs according to specifications listed on blueprints Drive commercial vehicles equipped to transport a variety of materials and equipment Ensure the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials Works safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Complete daily paperwork in an accurate manner Commitment to safety in all work Success Factors Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, grasp, push, pull and reach on a frequent basis throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Required to travel out of town to work on projects of varying length approximately 10% of the time CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement preferred Valid DOT Medical Card required Experience and Education 2-3 years of experience in the construction and gas pipeline industry Additional Requirements / Licenses / Certifications Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment Candidates must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
