It's more than a career, it's a callingMO-SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson CityWorker Type:RegularJob Highlights:Schedule: Monday - Fri 630a to 3:00p.*Share in call rotation of 3p-7a Monday thru Fri and 24 hour call Sat and SunJob Summary:Assists with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system and performs specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular and neuro interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESMust work at least 30% of FTE in secondary modality to be eligible for a Multiple Modality job.Prepares patients for procedures. Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area and ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department.Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
