Cook/Dietary Aide - full time

Position Overview

Rivercrest Place Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and team-oriented individual to join our dietary services team in a full-time role. In this position, you will help support the preparation, service, and cleanup of meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the well-being of others through quality meal service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating according to menu guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Support meal service to residents, patients, or customers in a courteous and timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and other service items as needed.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with stocking supplies and receiving or storing food deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dietary, kitchen, and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within scheduled timeframes.
• Support special dietary needs and accommodate requests as directed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service, kitchen operations, or dietary support is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies as needed, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays as required.
