Industrial Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician performs routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.Essential Functions:Preventive maintenance tasksTroubleshooting industrial electric and pneumatic pumps and motorsRepair and rebuilding of gear pumps and diaphragm pumps from ¾" to 3" sizesChanging of mechanical seals in pumpsShaft alignment for pumpsMinor electrical workGeneral facility upkeep and routine repairsFollow up on workordersMust comply with all safety regulations and policies to ensure work is done in a safe mannerMaintain inventory of spare parts listOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proactive maintenance mindsetGood organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsBasic mathematical and computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web-based system)Ability to work independently maintaining high standardsMust be able to be on-call for afterhours call in and overtime as neededTechnical School certifications a plusPhysical Requirements:Must wear appropriate PPE as requiredUnrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balanceUnrestricted ability to use hands and armsAbility to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 poundsSpecific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusOccasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperaturesRegularly exposed to moving mechanical partsNoise level is usually loudAll applicants must successfully pass an interview, background check and drug/alcohol screening.
