Supervisor Security

Job Overview Dexcom Corporation is a pioneer in continuous glucose monitoring with a mission to empower people to take control of their health. The Site Security Supervisor will oversee daily physical security operations across Dexcom facilities, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for employees, visitors, and partners. Responsibilities Lead daily physical security operations, including guard force management, lobby operations, patrols, and access control oversight. Conduct daily walkthroughs and safety inspections of lobbies, parking areas, interiors, exteriors, and high‑risk zones, identify hazards, and coordinate corrective actions with Facilities and EHSS. Manage onboarding/offboarding of contracted security staff, validate training compliance, maintain rosters, and ensure proper access provisioning and deactivation. Conduct daily or shift‑start briefings, perform spot checks on guard performance, and ensure all posts are staffed and supported with required equipment. Coordinate on‑site emergency response, act as incident lead, and liaise with law enforcement, fire, and EMS as needed. Support HR/ER investigations by reviewing CCTV, extracting access logs, building timelines, documenting incidents, and maintaining confidentiality. Plan and execute security support for on‑site events, including staffing, access controls, emergency readiness, and post‑event debrief. Monitor incident trends, maintain logs, and compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on incidents, KPIs, staffing, risks, and corrective actions. Continuously review and update physical security procedures to incorporate industry best practices and mitigation strategies. Qualifications Minimum three years of experience overseeing security personnel, contracted guard forces, or comparable frontline operational teams in the private sector. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and hold guard staff accountable. Solid understanding of physical security operations, access control systems, CCTV usage, incident documentation, and compliance standards. Excellent communication across functions, engaging professionally with Facilities, HR, EHSS, IT, site leadership, and external responders. Proactive risk identification, incident trend analysis, and implementation of preventive or corrective actions. Calm under emergency conditions, capable of making swift decisions and leading on‑site response and communication. Detail‑oriented with accurate logging, pass‑down documentation, training record maintenance, badge management, and audit documentation. Ability to build strong vendor relationships and ensure high performance and adherence to standards. Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adjust to evolving staffing, operational, and site needs. Active membership in relevant security communities (e.g., ASIS).
