Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Unit Unit: Emergency Department Location: Manchester, NH Weekly Hours: 36 Hours (3x12s) Patient Ratio: 1:4 (may flex during high census) Charting: Sunrise / Allscripts Weekly Hours Breakdown Direct Emergency Patient Care: ~22–24 hrs/week Triage, assessment, treatment, and monitoring of ED patients Management of high‑acuity medical, cardiac, trauma, stroke, and psychiatric cases Critical Care & Emergency Procedures: ~5–6 hrs/week Trauma activations Stroke protocols Cardiopulmonary emergencies IO insertion, U/S‑guided IVs, EKGs, rapid infusions Medication Administration & Monitoring: ~3–4 hrs/week IV medications ACLS/PALS interventions Emergency medication administration Documentation & Care Coordination: ~3–4 hrs/week Charting in Sunrise/Allscripts Communication with providers and interdisciplinary teams Psychiatric & Behavioral Health Care: ~2–3 hrs/week Care of patients in secure psychiatric holding area Behavioral health assessments and monitoring Unit Highlights 25 ED treatment rooms 8 hallway beds utilized 24/7 4‑bed secure psychiatric holding unit 88 combined staff members Nurse‑driven protocols for expedited patient care Common Patient Population Trauma Stroke Sepsis DKA Cardiac emergencies Complex heart patients (NEHI) Orthopedic injuries Psychiatric emergencies Respiratory emergencies Required Qualifications 2+ Years Emergency Department Experience Active RN License at Submission BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Required Skills Trauma and Stroke Care EKG Interpretation Ultrasound‑Guided IV Insertion IO Insertion Critical Care Assessment Emergency Response Strong Communication & Critical Thinking Scheduling & Requirements Every Other Weekend Required No Floating Fast‑Paced Level Emergency Care Environment Must be adaptable and comfortable with high‑acuity patients Ideal Candidate Experienced ER RN with strong trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care skills. Must be comfortable managing multiple high‑acuity patients, utilizing emergency protocols independently, and working in a busy department with psychiatric, medical, and trauma populations.
