High-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment

28 Operating Rooms (including 2 Hybrid CV/Vascular ORs)

60-75 surgical cases per day

OR operates 24/7, 365 days/year

Hybrid rooms: 5-10 cases/day

2-3 years acute care experience (OR roles)

3+ years hybrid experience (Hybrid IR Tech only)

First-time travelers: Accepted

Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma cases

High-acuity surgical mix including:

Trauma: GSWs, stabbings

Transplants: Kidney, Heart (no liver/lung)

General, GYN, Urology

Robotics

Vascular and Endovascular

Orthopedics

Neurosurgery

Open heart/CABG

Hybrid OR Cases:

TAVR

AAA repairs

Endarterectomies

Angiograms

Fistula revisions

~20% Pediatric cases (open hearts, appendectomy, cholecystectomy) Participates in organ donor (Gifts of Hope) cases

OR/CVOR RN: BLS

Surgical Tech/CVOR Tech: BLS, CST

Hybrid IR Tech: BLS, ARRT

Surgical Assistant: BLS, CSA

OR RN:

Scrub and circulate

Trauma experience (Level I or II preferred)

EPIC experience required

CVOR RN:

Scrub & circulate adult or pediatric open-heart cases

Strong critical care and trauma background

EPIC required

Surgical Tech / CVOR Tech:

Scrub across listed specialties

CVOR Tech must support open-heart procedures

Hybrid IR Tech:

Experience with hybrid vascular/cardiac procedures

Siemens equipment experience required

Charge Nurse (no patient assignment on weekdays)

Resource Nurse

Surgeons with established preference cards

Assistant Nurse Managers (ANM)

Clinical Educators

Service Line Representatives

EPIC Super Users

Anesthesiologist-led bedside monitoring

EMR: EPIC (required)

IV Pumps: Alaris

Medication Dispensing: Pyxis

No floating required

Day 1: Onboarding, system access, EPIC training, modules

Days 2-3: Unit orientation

Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend (Sat-Sun)

Shift Options:

06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

02:45 PM - 07:15 PM

10:45 PM - 07:15 AM

3x12s / 5x8s / Mixed schedules available

Hybrid roles: 8-10 hour shifts (Mon-Thurs)

6-week schedule (posted 2-4 weeks in advance)

No self-scheduling - assigned based on departmental needs

Mon-Fri: 07:30 AM - 11:00 PM

Nights & weekends: Skeleton crew for trauma/urgent cases

On-call required (varies by role/service line)

30-minute response time

Sleep rooms available for on-call staff

Holiday coverage required

Scrubs: Provided by hospital
