Maintenance Technician (Hourly)

At Pilgrim's, Safety Is A Condition. The safety of our team members, products, and facilities is our highest priority. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain the reliability, performance, and safety of our production equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Identify parts and equipment requiring repair or replacement.
• Utilize shop mathematics to complete maintenance assignments accurately.
• Read and interpret equipment drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Respond promptly to production issues involving mechanical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with production management and team members to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while managing time and resources effectively.
• Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality standards.

What You’ll Need:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred

• Experience:Maintenance experience required; minimum of 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Skills:Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems; General math skills required to perform maintenance duties; Ability to read and interpret documents, drawings, schematics; Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurements; Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends as needed; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Physical requirements:Ability to work in extreme Cold/Hot temperatures, ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day and lift 50 bs or more.
