Laboratory Manager

Job Description Great hospital located about an hour West of Lincoln, NE is looking for a full-time Laboratory Manager to join their team. Details are below. Salary: $75, 000 - $125, 000/annually
- Sign on bonus and relocation assistance negotiable!
- Manages the operations of the Laboratory, and as such is responsible for assuring continual, timely and accurate laboratory services to the patients of the hospital within the developed financial and budgetary guidelines.
- Lab Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, which includes problem solving issues and ensuring effective processing.
- Reviews daily laboratory worksheets and logs for accuracy and completeness
- Performs Proficiency Testing and analyzes results of reports for root cause of failures
- Laboratory Manager must have a Bachelors degree, advanced degree in health-care field preferred
- MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent with 6 years laboratory experience
- Must understand the use and limitation of laboratory equipment and apparatus, and be familiar with standard laboratory methods and procedures for handling pathological tissue and material for bacteriological examination
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
- Offers a slow-paced, close-knit rural community vibe with local parks and an aquatic center
- High-earning roles are concentrated in professional, scientific, and technical services, closely followed by utilities and transportation
- Tight-knit community with locally owned mom and pop shops
