Internal Auditor/ Manager, Data Oversight- Investment Accounting & Reporting

Seeking a Manager, Data Oversight to lead data governance, quality controls, reconciliation, and automation across our Investment Accounting & Reporting ecosystem. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data supporting GAAP, Statutory (Blue Book/Green Book), and management reporting for a diversified investment portfolio. Looking for someone who can work with the GL and investment accounting groups on internal controls, and validating data governance. Role is more of a liaison between accounting and systems. This is a highly collaborative leadership position partnering across Investment Accounting, External Reporting, Accounting Policy, Actuarial, IT/Data, Internal Audit, and external data providers. The ideal candidate brings strong investment accounting knowledge, a controls mindset, and hands‑on experience with automation and reporting tools. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain the data governance framework, including data standards, lineage, and critical data elements Oversee end-to-end data quality monitoring, exception management, and automated validation controls Lead reconciliation processes across investment systems, source data, and the general ledger Ensure integrity of data used in GAAP, Statutory, and executive reporting Drive automation of data transformations, reconciliations, and reporting workflows Manage governance and documentation for Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SharePoint, and Cadency Maintain robust process documentation, control narratives, and data dictionaries Coordinate audit and regulatory inquiries related to data and reporting Lead continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team members Qualifications BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field 7+ years of experience in investment accounting, financial reporting, controllership, or data governance Strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting for investments preferred Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SharePoint, and Cadency Familiarity with Clearwater is a plus CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA, FRM OR advanced degree preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr firstPRO, Inc
