Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/24/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - MS Stroke Stepdown Schedule This position requires night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with block scheduling that is not guaranteed. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in the MS Stroke Stepdown unit and is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from strokes and other related diagnoses. Responsibilities Administer medications and monitor patient responses. Conduct assessments and develop care plans for stroke patients. Provide education and support to patients and their families. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care delivery. Appropriately document patient care and progress in EMR systems. Participate in floating to other units as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license in New York State and all active RN licenses. Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS with stroke stepdown experience. Current AHA BLS certification. NIHSS certification required (can be obtained prior to start). Documentation of travel experience. Drivers licenses matching the address and demographics.
