Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical services to clients experiencing major mental illnesses and emotional disorders, conducting assessments and therapy sessions in both individual and group formats.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement integrated care plans, ensuring access to necessary resources for all clients.
  • Conduct brief, evidence-based assessments using standardized tools to identify client needs, and arrange more comprehensive evaluations as needed.
  • Participate in crisis intervention efforts, providing immediate support and intervention during critical situations while maintaining a calm and supportive environment.
  • Monitor and document client progress through regular meetings, ensuring timely completion of required reports and adherence to treatment objectives.
  • Identify and address potential safety concerns in the work environment, utilizing established protocols to maintain a safe space for both clients and staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, participating in training and workshops to enhance your skills and improve service quality.
  • Provide on-call support as required, ensuring consistent availability for clients in need.
  • Contribute to agency-wide initiatives aimed at quality improvement and service delivery enhancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily connect you with clients from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing mental health challenges related to substance use and addiction at our affiliated detox center. These individuals often encounter systemic barriers and require empathetic, culturally competent care tailored to their unique situations. By fostering trust and rapport, you'll empower clients to take charge of their recovery pathways.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Social Work or an equivalent field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mental health diagnosis, assessment, and treatment methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for maintaining detailed client records.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with individuals facing mental health and substance use issues.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Experience working in under-served communities or detox settings is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, aligned with your experience and qualifications.
