Director of Platform Engineering

Owning the architecture and reliability of the Elastic-based detection platform, the fully remote Director of Platform Engineering will lead a team in managing operational health, executing platform consolidation, and driving technical initiatives while remaining hands-on in design and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end architecture of the Elastic estate, including deployment models and cluster topology Lead the migration of the Elastic estate onto ECK, ensuring minimal service disruption Maintain and evolve capacity planning models while directly engaging in platform design reviews and troubleshooting Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years in infrastructure or platform engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership role Demonstrated experience managing a large-scale, multi-tenant data platform in production Deep expertise with the Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch and Kibana, at scale Experience in a managed services or MDR environment where platform availability is contractually bound Strong grounding in log ingestion architecture and data normalization practices
