The Treehouse is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Billing Specialist to support our child care and preschool programs. This person will manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and third-party subsidy billing while helping ensure that records are accurate and payments are processed on time.

Key responsibilities

• Process parent payments weekly, and third-party subsidy claims, including child care assistance billing.
• Track payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances or billing discrepancies.
• Process vendor invoices and support timely, accurate accounts payable.
• Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation.
• Work across multiple software systems to enter, review, and verify information.
• Communicate professionally with families, subsidy agencies, vendors, and internal staff to resolve billing questions.

What we’re looking for

• Experience with billing, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or accounts payable. *We do not use Quickbooks*
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Comfort navigating multiple software systems and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to manage deadlines and follow through on open items independently.

Experience with child care billing or third-party subsidy programs is a plus, but we welcome candidates with strong transferable billing experience.

Schedule: Part-time - 20 hours per week; hours to be discussed during the interview process.
