About the Role:

Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team in Sacramento, CA. Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement Montessori-based curriculum and activities for preschool-aged children
• Create and maintain a prepared, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Observe and document individual student progress and developmental milestones
• Guide children in social-emotional development, conflict resolution, and independence
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and positive school culture
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students throughout the school day

Requirements:

• Experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children in a classroom setting
• Montessori training or certification (AMI or AMS) preferred
• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate learning strategies
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check and meet California childcare licensing requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
