We are seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team, reporting directly to the Shop Manager. This role requires expertise in a variety of automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, handling a mix of project types. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and customer service, with occasional local travel as part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine repair and maintenance
- Conduct brake system maintenance and repairs
- Carry out diagnostic testing using automotive tools
- Service transmissions and handle transmission repairs
- Complete electrical system troubleshooting and repairs
- Maintain HVAC systems within vehicles
- Manage tools and equipment efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and solutions
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in automotive repair
- Strong diagnostics skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in engine diagnostics and repair
- Experienced in brake systems and transmission repair
- Skilled in electrical systems troubleshooting and HVAC repair
- Expertise in using automotive tools and equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail
- Basic Tools
- Show up on time
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness for occasional local travel
