Location: New York City (Wall Street) on-site 3 days/week; 2 days remote -- hybrid role
Start Date: On or about October 1, 2026
Compensation: $150k-160k annually, exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience

Overview

Automated Industries is seeking an AI Product Manager on behalf of one of our clients who will operate in both capacities – to augment existing AI roadmaps, as well as innovate new projects – crafting AI experiences that enable our educators to deliver even better student outcomes, improve school operations, as well as drive efficiencies throughout the enterprise. AI is a team sport, and in your role, you will be key in leading and influencing teams on the translation of business problems and questions into GenAI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: From discovery and prioritization to delivery and optimization, you will be responsible for driving various products and features on the AI roadmap.
• Data-driven prioritization: Apply a focused ROI-first approach to inform roadmap decisions.
• Translate business goals: You will translate the needs of various stakeholders into clear AI/ML feature requirements in partnership with AI engineers and data scientists.
• Design intuitive and usable AI experiences: You will collaborate with UX/UI and engineering to ensure seamless integration of LLMs, RAG, and ML outputs into an effective customer experience.
• Evaluate and experiment: You will define evaluation metrics and work with data scientists to experiment, validate, and iterate on models and AI features.
• Continuously improve: Implement feedback loops to ensure models and AI features evolve based on real-world usage and user feedback.
• Be the glue: By serving as the connective tissue between business partners and technical teams, you will balance technical feasibility and business impact to deliver the right solutions at the right time.
• Foster the strategy: Contribute to shaping the overall AI strategy and ensuring product decisions align with long-term organizational AI goals and support the enterprise priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience (AI/ML or data-driven platforms preferred but not necessary) with proven experience launching enterprise tools or customer-facing products.
• Experience designing custom GPT or other basic AI tools.
• Experience working in Agile development environments, using tools like JIRA or Confluence to manage backlogs and sprints.
• Knowledge of requirements gathering, project management, and process redesign.
• Proven experience in translating ambiguous business problems into concrete technical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the development of AI projects from start to finish.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills (executive-level preferred but not necessary)
• Strong time management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GenAI and RAG strategies, MCP, and prompt engineering best practices.
• Strong understanding of LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.), RAG pipelines, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, FAISS, Milvus, PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to developer frameworks for agentic AI development.

• On-site Tuesday through Thursday
• Remote Monday and Friday

• Direct interaction with engineering leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Role combines team management, cloud operations oversight, vendor management, and cost governance

Compensation & Terms

Base Compensation: $150k-160k annually, commensurate with experience
