Generator TechnicianThis role will be located at an undisclosed location and delivers full life cycle professional and technical solutions that improve operational readiness and drive innovation. We help ensure mission success on land, air, sea, space and cyberspace for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, NASA and other federal agencies. Your expertise ensures that critical power solutions are reliable and ready to support mission success for our customers. You excel at diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring that generators operate at peak performance in any environment. Your proactive mindset and dedication to continuous improvement contribute to KBR's mission of delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational readiness and security.Your duties will include:Capable of troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications.Capable of maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.Provide guidance and oversight for any person under your supervision.Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently.Requires an active SECRET clearance, with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ PolyHigh school diploma, Vocational or Trade school Graduate or equivalent apprenticeship.Eight (8)+ years of professional Generator experience, three (3) of which are in a lead or supervisory role.Experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams and specifications.Experience maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Belong, Connect and Grow at KBR At KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
