Job Title: Driver Reports to: Warehouse Manager Summary: Responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service while processing the delivery and pick up of merchandise to customers, branch locations and suppliers, in a safe and courteous manner. Essential Job Functions: • Ensure complete and accurate processing and submission of delivery paperwork both before and after delivery run, including obtaining customer signatures on every delivery ticket. • Verify vehicle safety prior to vehicle use by; inspection of vehicle, completing the Driver Inspection Report, verification of proper oil and fuel level, and reporting any vehicle issues to management. • Ensure each vehicle used is properly fueled and cleaned at the end of daily use; including cleaning the inside and cargo box organization.

• Maintain product safety by securing all products with tie ropes and shipping straps.
• Safely load and unload material from vehicle. Assist customers with the unloading and placement of product as requested or

required. • Confirm all customer deliveries are unloaded to a safe customer delivery location; this includes the safety of company vehicles, staff, and the merchandise and may require negotiation with customers.

• Guarantee all merchandise being returned to the warehouse is placed in the designated return, transfer or receiving location.
• Securely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and two wheelers to load and unload merchandise when needed.
• Maintain communications between staff and customers ensuring proper delivery and merchandise information has been given

and that customer satisfaction levels remain an utmost priority. • Provide back up support in the warehouse by being trained in the warehousemen job functions. When not making deliveries, perform warehouse tasks as directed.

• Follow all company procedures while using good judgment and common sense.
• Maintain a positive work environment by presenting one’s self, behaving and communicating in a professional, courteous,

respectful, ethical manner with customers, co-workers and suppliers. Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Read, Write & Speak English
• Class B CDL
• Good driving record
• Experience in warehousing & logistics activities & processes
• Experience with products sold by Active Plumbing Supply preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Experience with ‘Eclipse’ operating system preferred
