Job Overview

JIE USA Inc is seeking a results-driven Quality Manager to lead product quality and continuous improvement activities for our North American operations. This role is responsible for ensuring product and process quality, managing customer quality issues and quality documentation needs across our portfolio of gear reducers, electric motors, and drive electronics.

This position works cross-functionally with North American and global colleagues in operations, engineering, supply chain, and sales as well as our customers, and plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

• Manage and continuously improve the company’s quality processes, procedures, and documentation
• Collaborate with corporate headquarters and other JIE subsidiaries to ensure quality events are transparently communicated, thoroughly investigated, contained and effectively resolved
• Partner with headquarters to standardize quality processes, procedures, and KPI reporting across sites to ensure consistency, comparability, and continuous improvement
• Champion the development of a quality management system with global quality team
• Serve as the primary liaison with parent company operations and quality teams to align on standards, share critical quality issues, and drive consistent corrective and preventive actions
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action efforts for internal, supplier, and customer-related quality issues
• Track, analyze, and report quality performance metrics; identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Plan and conduct internal audits as well as support customer, supplier, and third-party audits when required
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, customer requirements, and internal policies

 

Supplier & Incoming Quality

• Partner with suppliers and JIE global headquarters to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Define and maintain incoming inspection criteria and quality acceptance standards
• Monitor supplier performance and support ongoing supplier quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with procurement and operations to reduce defects, rework, and quality-related disruptions

Continuous Improvement & Process Development

• Identify and lead initiatives that improve quality performance, service effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
• Drive cross-functional problem-solving and process improvement projects
• Support ERP and system enhancements related to quality tracking, traceability, and aftermarket data
• Use data-driven analysis to recommend and implement operational improvements

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred
• Five or more years of experience in quality management, manufacturing, or aftermarket support
• Prior experience in an industrial or technical manufacturing environment strongly preferred, knowledge of gear reducers and/or electric motors is a plus
• Experience creating and implementing Quality Management Systems
• Experience with ERP platforms – NetSuite preferred
• ISO 9001 experience a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
