What You’ll Do As the Restaurant Director of Franchise Development, you will serve as a key member of the company’s growth leadership team, responsible for creating and executing franchise development initiatives that support aggressive expansion goals while protecting brand integrity. Responsibilities Develop and execute the company’s national franchise development strategy to achieve long‑term growth objectives. Identify, recruit, qualify, and secure high‑caliber franchise partners across targeted U.S. markets. Own the complete franchise development lifecycle, from lead generation through franchise agreement execution. Build and manage a robust franchise sales pipeline using CRM platforms while maintaining accurate forecasting and reporting. Partner with executive leadership to prioritize expansion markets using demographic, competitive, and market analysis. Collaborate with Real Estate, Construction, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams throughout the franchise development process. Lead franchise discovery days, executive presentations, territory reviews, and candidate evaluations. Represent the organization at franchise expos, restaurant industry conferences, and networking events. Evaluate franchise candidates’ financial qualifications, operational capabilities, and long‑term growth potential. Ensure compliance with Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) requirements, state franchise regulations, and internal development standards. Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging markets to identify new development opportunities. Provide executive leadership with strategic recommendations regarding market expansion, franchise performance, and development initiatives. Qualifications Required Experience 8+ years of progressive franchise development experience within the restaurant, QSR, fast casual, casual dining, or hospitality industries. Demonstrated success leading franchise development initiatives that resulted in significant multi‑unit growth. Extensive knowledge of franchise development, FDD compliance, franchise regulations, and territory planning. Strong executive presence with exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Experience evaluating franchise candidate financials, business plans, and operational readiness. Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, FranConnect, or similar systems. Ability to travel as needed for franchise meetings, conferences, market evaluations, and executive presentations. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading franchise development for a nationally recognized restaurant brand. Established network within the restaurant franchise and multi‑unit investment community. Knowledge of restaurant real estate strategy, site selection, and market planning.
