Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Location: Port Charlotte, FL Pay Rate: $45-50/hour Position Type: Contract Care Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Shift Availability: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri Job Summary Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Port Charlotte, FL. We are seeking dependable, experienced therapists who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and can quickly and confidently adapt to new facility environments. Responsibilities A PTA working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to: Utilize EMR Net Health to record patients’ medical information and vital signs Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist Reinforce prescribed therapy programs and resident safety practices Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic activities and mobility techniques as directed Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PTA license Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities Must maintain consistent attendance and punctualityAble to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Credentials Required Active and unencumbered FL PTA License or Compact PTA License Government-Issued Photo ID or PassportCPR/BLS Resume Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement About Elite Medical Staffing Elite Medical Staffing is a healthcare staffing agency connecting experienced nursing and allied healthcare professionals with flexible, high-paying opportunities.
