C-STORE ASSISTANT MANAGER - Evenings & Weekend - Lake Elmo

General Summary Assists C-Store Manager with store operations including check out, merchandising, layout, inventory, bookkeeping, and maintenance. Acting Manager in Store Managers absence. Essential Functions Review, assign and follow up on daily work lists Supervise the sale of all retail goods and services include money drop procedures Monitor and maintain all food service areas Review, update, and correct retail pricing on all retail items Train, manage and supervise C-Store Clerks in Managers absence Perform open and close processes as needed Receive, verify, and process merchandise and vendor shipments Order merchandise to maintain proper inventory levels of product Oversee and/or stock, and display merchandise and supplies Competencies Decision Making – Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions; take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences. Educations / Experience High School Diploma or GED, combined with sufficient on-the-job experience to know the processes and variables to accurately manage a convenient store/retail store. Minimum of 5 years retail/store experience. Proficient in computer usage including POS systems and the Internet.
