As a Engineer II, Digital Systems you’ll design and deliver innovative building automation solutions that improve energy efficiency, comfort, and operational reliability. You’ll take ownership of projects from pre‑sales support through design, documentation, and commissioning support—while serving as a technical expert for both colleagues and customers.** this position requires the candidate to be on site.What You’ll DoReview bid specs and develop clear, strategic exceptionsSelect the best mix of products and installation methods for cost-effective solutionsPrepare installation submittals and support handoff to operationsAct as a technical resource for internal teams and customersAttend sales-to-operations turnover meetings and job-site walk-throughsIndependently design BAS systems for standard and mission-critical facilitiesCreate custom design solutions to meet unique customer requirementsProduce complete BAS design packages: mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOM, sequences of operation, valve/damper schedules, DDC panel layouts, BAS network architectureAnalyze plans, codes, and specifications to determine project scope and risksProvide start-up/commissioning documentation to installation teamsPrepare engineering re-estimates and collaborate with sales/managementCreate specs and drawings for components from external suppliersSelect appropriate control products (valves, sensors, controllers, etc.)Prepare RFIs and manage pre-installation change ordersMaintain and update hardware and engineering standardsQualifications:Bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)3–5 years of BAS, HVAC controls, or MEP experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and technical trainingAbility to read/interpret architectural, electrical, mechanical, and control drawingsWorking knowledge of MS Office, Visio, file structuresFamiliarity with BACnet, LON, ModbusHighly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work independentlyBonus Skills:BAS controls programming (Function Block, Script, Graphics)Developing intuitive graphical user interfaces for BAS systemsJob-site commissioning and system checkout experienceAbility to follow and contribute to documentation and software standardsClear communication of project progress and technical solutionsInterpret and implement written sequences of operationsExperience collaborating with contractors and commissioning teamsAbility to provide customer training when neededLet us learn about you! This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
