Assistant Restaurant Manager
The Westin Memphis Beale Street Hotel - Courtside Grill
$25/Hour (Full-Time)
Summary of Position
- Responsible for assisting in the operational success of The Courtside Grill, located inside The Westin Memphis Beale Street hotel.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Act as Manager on duty, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and resolving guest and staff relations, offers support to the Restaurant General Manager.
- Assist with communicating job/shift expectations, training, handle shift callouts, and issue feedback directly to the Restaurant General Manager.
- Step into critical front and back end of house roles during staffing shortages, high volume demands, by assisting with food preparations, cooking, and guest service to maintain uninterrupted business operations.
- Maintain inventory PAR control for the restaurant’s inventory (food, beverages, liquor, beer, wine, operational supplies, etc.)
- Assist with Point-of-Sale programming and Manager transactions processing.
- Enforce Health Department codes, strict food sanitation procedures, TN Alcohol Commission (TNABC) laws, Marriott brand standards, safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager, to maintain the Food & Beverage menu.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Safe Serve permit.
- 1-year minimum previous kitchen/cook experience in a hotel restaurant or full-service restaurant.
- Ability to provide proof of or to obtain a TN Alcoholic Beverage Commission Server Permit after start of employment.
