Job Summary:
This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) Department located in Bakersfield, California. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients in the obstetric setting, supervising and directing nursing staff, and coordinating care with other healthcare disciplines. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The shift is scheduled for night hours, with a work schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Bakersfield, California
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), experience in an acute care facility.
• Additional Information: Adventist Health participates in E-Verify.
• Responsibilities include collecting patient data, developing and implementing care plans, coordinating care delivery, evaluating patient outcomes, facilitating discharge planning, delegating duties appropriately, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
