You will:Unpack, inspect, and route incoming shipments; record shortages, reject damaged items, and coordinate with inventory control to resolve issues.Compare shipment details against invoices, bills of lading, orders, or other records to ensure accuracy for both incoming and outgoing parts.Determine if parts are for pickup at the parts counter, delivery to customers, or shop repair orders.Stock parts accurately, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and keep items easily accessible.Conduct inventory counts with inventory control, including off-site consignment counts when needed.Assist in identifying slow-moving inventory, suggest optimal stocking locations, and provide feedback on max inventory levels.Work with inventory control on returns to OEM manufacturers, meeting shipment requirements and deadlines.Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, etc.) and personal protective equipment; report any equipment needing repair.Maintain inventory of shipping materials and warehouse supplies.Collaborate with drivers and outside sales staff to stage parts for delivery or pickup.Adhere to and promote all health and safety policies to reinforce a safe working environment.What You BringEducation & Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months of related experience (or equivalent combination). Basic computer knowledge required.Communication Skills: Able to read instructions, manuals, and safety rules; communicate effectively in writing and verbally with co-workers, departments, customers, and vendors.Certifications & Licenses: OSHA-approved forklift certification required; valid driver's license required and must meet company insurability standards.Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling. Regularly lift/move up to 15 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs (manual and mechanical assistance available).
