Lead Manufacturing Technician As the Lead Manufacturing Technician you will execute all processes in production while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations. You will fully participate in departmental projects and quality working teams, assist in the transfer of new technologies, and lead production activities with a focus on leadership in cGMP compliance and safety. Shift Day shift, 5:00 am – 5:30 pm in a 2‑2‑3 work schedule configuration. Responsibilities Lead training and mentoring for manufacturing technicians (levels 1‑3) Conduct safety Gemba’s and provide daily coaching to ensure ergonomic compliance Support all local manufacturing operations Demonstrate proficiency in electronic systems (EBM, JDE, etc.) Operate general production equipment, including filling, inspection and packaging Ensure relevant paperwork follows GDP/GMP guidelines Manually clean portable equipment and small parts Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams Manage supplies distribution into the production area Monitor daily cleaning of the production area to maintain GMP standards Assemble and operate filtration systems Prep all manufacturing components to meet schedule adherence and set up incoming shift Troubleshoot process and equipment problems to minimize manufacturing downtime Coordinate with maintenance/metrology for preventative maintenance per plan Perform other duties as assigned Communicate effectively in English, both written and oral Apply quantitative analysis to evaluate and improve process performance Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred Minimum 6 + years of regulated manufacturing experience, or 4 + years with an associate degree or higher Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching production teams Strong understanding of cGMP/GDP regulations and manufacturing documentation practices Hands‑on experience operating and troubleshooting pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (filling, inspection, packaging, filtration, or autoclave systems) Ability to support and coordinate manufacturing operations in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining safety, quality and schedule focus Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting and decision‑making skills to minimize operational downtime Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration Experience with manufacturing and business systems such as EBM, JDE or similar electronic systems Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities for training and development Knowledge of chemical and biological safety procedures and safe manufacturing practices Ability to perform quantitative analysis and interpret production data to support operational improvements Important Considerations Position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing facility conditions Must be able to carry, lift, and push/pull up to 30 lbs (with assistance) Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8‑12‑hour shift May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, squatting motions Repetitive hand and wrist motions, turning head, bending knees and waist 20/20 vision required for visual inspection tasks Indoor conditions with potential exposure to loud noises requiring hearing protection Possibly work around moving equipment and machinery May work in confined spaces / areas, including clean room and cold/hot storage conditions (if applicable) May be exposed to chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite; respiratory protection may be required May require immunization before work within the manufacturing area Must be able to work at multiple shifts, weekends and holidays, into a 24/7 operation when needed Must be able to work a 12‑hour shift (5:00 am – 5:30 pm), 2‑2‑3 rotation Must be able to work overtime as required EEO Statement Takeda is proud of its commitment to creating a diverse workforce and providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, parental status, national origin, age, disability, citizenship status, genetic information or characteristics, marital status, status as a Vietnam era veteran, special disabled veteran, or other protected veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, and any other characteristic protected by law.
