Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Locums - Fall River, Massachusetts, NP/PA Addiction Medicine Job

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 3 months

Schedule & Setting

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

• Practice Setting: Outpatient

• Patient Load: Approximately 8-15 patients per day

• Patient Population: Adults ages 18-90

• Patient Types: New and established patients

• EMR: SMART

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct medication-assisted treatment (MAT) intakes.

• Perform medication dose adjustments.

• Complete annual physical examinations.

• Administer and manage medications used in addiction treatment.

Medications Administered Onsite

• Methadone

• Buprenorphine

• Long-acting injectable buprenorphine (LAIB)

• Long-acting naltrexone

Support Staff

• A physician may be onsite on some coverage dates.

• Additional staff support is available.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

• Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

• Board Certification: Preferred but not required

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred but not required
