About This Role
We are an academic preschool serving children 3yrs and toilet trained to 6 years old. Little Sprout Preschool is not a corporate owned facility but rather a private preschool serving our community with intention . This is a teacher assistant position helping the lead teacher in the PreK room with daily tasks.
The 40hr work schedule is as follows:
- MWF 8:00am - 6:00pm or when the last child leaves (30 min lunch break)
- T/Th 11:30am - 6:00pm or when the last child leaves (30 min lunch break)

Located at Rose Garden Lane and Cave Creek Rd, just north of the 101.
What You'll DoThe Teacher Assistant position is responsible for:
- assisting the teacher where needed
- sanitizing tables between activities
- helping children with snack and lunch from home
- implementing TA curriculum as directed by the lead teacher
- assisting in keeping the classroom and classroom restroom clean
The Aftercare position is responsible for:
- Help children transition into the aftercare room
- Offer center-based options for play, or coloring, or games
- Greet parents when they arrive for pick up and help children get their backpacks on for home
- Maintain attendance at all times on the tablet through the Brightwheel app.
- Organize bookshelf at the end of the day
- Some cleaning is required after the last child leaves. Wiping down sinks, taking out trash, cleaning the table, etc.
All staff are required to have:
- CPR/First Aid certificate
- AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- High School Diploma
- Driver's License
- Authorization to work in the US
Our program curriculum offers the following:
- Spalding
- Singapore Math concrete concepts
- Core Knowledge for Preschool
Experience in any of the above is helpful but not required.
