We are looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Monaca, PA area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Overview As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks, and complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, fluid checks, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and service vehicles, with emphasis on undercar repairs. Perform brakes, struts and shocks work; replace worn components as needed. Complete state-mandated inspections. Change oil and filters; check and top off fluids. Disassemble, mount, rotate, and balance tires. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. Typically 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training and experience demonstrating ability to perform duties. Must possess an extensive personal tool box used for undercar repairs. Preferred: state inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Active position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movements; ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
