Clerical Assistant 2 Position
Join the Department of Human Services as a Clerical Assistant 2 and help support important services that impact your community. This position provides clerical support that keeps office operations accurate and efficient. You will work with information, documents, and records that support case processing. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Data Entry Tasks: Enter applications, update records, and process client information across multiple systems
- Document Handling: Sort, scan, file, and maintain records so that case files stay accurate and organized
- Communication Support: Answer phones, take messages, direct callers, and assist visitors who come to the office
- Mail Processing: Open, sort, date stamp, and distribute mail while meeting established deadlines
- Business Correspondence: Prepare standardized letters and other written materials with correct punctuation and grammar
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Fayette County. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
