• We are hiring immediately for full time LEAD FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions.
• Location : South Windsor Public Schools - 1737 Main Street,  South Windsor, CT 06074  Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule : Full time schedule; Monday through Friday; hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement : Prior experience overseeing daily cafe operations, supporting staff, and ensuring food quality and safety standards.
• Pay Range:  $18.50 per hour to $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

• Oversees, monitors and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items while adhering to company food standards for presentation, sanitation and safety while meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines; ensures portion control.
• Follows work procedures and expedites workflow to ensure efficient meal service to all service areas.
• Directs and participates in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and associates in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
• Oversees the productivity and breaks of associates and communicates performance issues to management.
• Helps onboard and train associates; may conduct pre-service meetings.
• Properly handles cash; completes daily, weekly and monthly reports, including weekly inventory, cash reports and production records.
• Responds to customer needs and requests; resolves customer concerns.
• Assists in menu planning and ordering procedures using appropriate company programs and initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf will be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods. Business needs may vary from year to year.
