Technician

We are seeking a skilled Technician to support new construction projects by installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures. This hands-on role requires safe operation of tools and equipment, reading blueprints, and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project plans
• Install framing, drywall, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and other fixtures
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans
• Perform repairs and maintenance as needed
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
• Ensure work meets company standards, building codes, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• 1+ year of carpentry, construction, or related experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Work Environment

Work alongside a crew of approximately five team members on active construction sites. This role is primarily outdoors and requires working in various weather conditions while using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Vernon, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
