Safety Coordinator

Safety Professional – Muskogee, Oklahoma National Safety Consulting is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support a construction project in the Muskogee/Tulsa, Oklahoma area. This position will provide full-time onsite safety support in an active construction environment. The selected candidate will work closely with project leadership, supervision, subcontractors, and field personnel to support compliance with project safety requirements and promote safe work practices throughout the project. Start Date: Immediately Location: Muskogee/Tulsa, Oklahoma Current Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Saturday work is expected to be added as the project progresses. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways: Minimum of 10 years of full-time construction safety experience AND OSHA 500 certification , OR Minimum of 5 years of construction experience AND a degree in a safety-related field , OR Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a minimum of 2 years of construction experience Candidates who do not meet at least one of the above qualification pathways will not meet the project requirements. Responsibilities Provide full-time onsite safety oversight and support. Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and observations. Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and potential hazards. Communicate safety concerns and recommended corrective actions to project leadership. Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA regulations, project safety requirements, and company policies. Participate in pre-task planning, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientations as needed. Review job hazard analyses, safety documentation, and work activities. Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and corrective action follow-up. Maintain accurate safety inspection reports and project documentation. Work collaboratively with project management, supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel. Serve as an onsite safety resource while maintaining a professional and solutions-focused approach. Additional Qualifications Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards. Strong hazard recognition and field-safety skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both field personnel and project leadership. Strong written documentation and reporting skills. Ability to work independently in an active construction environment. Must be dependable and able to maintain the required project schedule.
