Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (MS), Nights Wheeling, West Virginia
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an acute setting during 12-hour night shifts. The role supports a MedSurg unit with a focus on post-operative and general medical patient populations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts) with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every-other-weekend rotation (3 weekends out of a 6-week schedule), with nights working Fri/Sat
• Required Qualifications: Active licensure to submit; Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA); NIHSS; minimum 0 years of experience as specified by the position
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for additional clinical support (preferred)
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide bedside nursing care for medical and surgical post-operative patients, including general neuro and orthopedic post-ops
  • Support care delivery for common diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, and other medical conditions
  • Manage routine unit-based therapies and interventions as applicable to patient care
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as scheduled
• Additional Information:
  • Unit charting system: Allscripts
  • Patient room setup: all private rooms
  • Weekend and holiday participation required as scheduled
  • Floating: may include MedSurg or MedSurg/Oncology units and possible assignment to MedSurg overflow
