Sonographer Port Huron, MI Specialty: Echocardiography Position Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Pay: $2193 - $2642 | Shift: 4x10 days Are you a skilled Sonographer with a passion for echocardiography? Join our healthcare partner in Port Huron, MI, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through your expertise in cardiac ultrasound diagnostics. As a Sonographer specializing in echocardiography, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures, including m-mode, two-dimensional cardiac ultrasound, Doppler color flow studies, stress echos, and AV optimization procedures. You will also assist physicians with transesophageal exams and ensure compliance with department policies and protocols. Your role will involve:
- Obtaining patient history and explaining standard procedures to ensure patient comfort and confidence
- Operating and maintaining ultrasound scanning equipment
- Positioning patients, selecting appropriate transducers and machine settings, and conducting scanning procedures
- Completing quality assurance processes and adhering to regulatory standards
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information
- ARDMS certification
- 2 years of experience as an echo tech
- Current BLS certification
- Need 2 years experience in setting
