Boston Licensed Part-Time Clinician

APPLY FOR THIS POSITION POSITION PURPOSE The Boston Licensed Part-Time Clinician will join BaMidbar at an exciting moment of growth and transformation. BaMidbar has grown from a small startup into a leading national organization in the Jewish mental health sphere, with a $1.4M budget, six full-time staff, and a community of thousands of program alumni. The Boston Licensed Part-Time Clinician will join the BaMidbar clinical team in providing outpatient mental health services, providing clinical supervision, and carrying a caseload of 10-15 teens and young adults. They will see clients in person and via telehealth. The Licensed Part-Time Clinician will be a central member of the clinical team and will attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings; they will also provide supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians. The ideal candidate is a licensed, skilled clinician and excited to provide mental health care for Jewish teens and young adults. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Carry a clinical caseload of up to 15 clients and deliver high quality individual and group therapy sessions, both in person and via telehealth Provide clinical supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians Perform psychosocial evaluations, create treatment plans, and provide therapeutic services Provide care to teens and young adults and collaborate with parents and community providers as needed Preferably be available to see clients up to 2-3 evenings per week Complete all clinical notes and documentation in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with insurance and state guidelines Take part in individual and group supervision and attend staff meetings, as needed Provide on call support as needed Maintain privacy practices and compliance with HIPAA, including annual trainings Administrative duties including managing client intake and record-keeping, in collaboration with BaMidbar’s operations staff YOU ARE: Deeply passionate about BaMidbar’s mission and vision and feel a personal affinity to our work A strong clinician with curiosity and enthusiasm for deepening your expertise A flexible and adaptable individual who is excited to work in a rapidly growing organization A hands-on team player who brings a sense of humor, openness, and a strong work ethic Someone who thrives in a position with a high level of autonomy and responsibility A candid and intentional communicator with excellent interpersonal and people skills NEED TO HAVES Licensed as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD in Massachusetts (or license-eligible if current license is out of state) Experience working with at least one (and preferably multiple) of the following populations: adolescents, emerging adults, and/or parents Expertise in at least one (and preferably multiple) of the following areas: adolescent and/or emerging adult development, family systems theory, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders Understanding of Jewish culture, values, and cycles, and if not fully understood, a willingness to learn and an appreciation for the cultural aspects of the program High ethical standards for care NICE TO HAVES Understanding of the national Jewish communal ecosystem, including the networks of youth and young adult-serving organizations (camps, Hillels, day schools, youth groups, synagogues, Federations, etc.) Familiarity with family systems theory and ability to develop and implement psychoeducation for parents and caregivers Familiarity with adventure therapy and/or outdoor behavioral healthcare BaMidbar is an equal opportunity employer, and we strongly encourage people with diverse backgrounds and identities to apply. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Position Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Base Compensation: Ranging from $60-70 an hour, paid monthly (estimated 10-25 hours/week, depending on caseload) depending on experience.
