American Securities and its affiliates have approximately $23 billion under management and are based in New York with an office in Shanghai.For more information, please visit and .Job FunctionReporting into the Operations Director – Advanced Materials , the Continuous Improvement Specialist will be based out of Houston, Texas, and will be responsible for the Vibrantz's Continuous Improvement program that is build up through several key programs to achieve 4% in annual CI cost savings, quality improvement and improved output while building the CI culture in Vibrantz's Advanced Materials sites.ResponsibilitiesSupport Vibrantz's Advanced Materials Business Unit to focus to implement, communicate and improve our CI Maturity Assessment Scorecard each year (CI Culture)Provide guidance and framework for the manufacturing site to establish CI best practicesDevelop and manage an effective pipeline of CI projects to meet our goalsAssist in the implementation, communication, and enhancement of the CI Maturity Assessment Scorecard annually, contributing to CI culture developmentMonitor and support the monthly CI Scorecard, ensuring alignment with improvement goalsActively participate in site review processes to track progress and ensure CI initiatives are on targetCollaborate with sites to assist in the development of three-year strategic plans to drive continuous improvement effortsSupport the identification, development, and management of a pipeline of CI projects to help meet organizational goals and objectivesProvide guidance on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to continuously improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiencyConduct Kaizen events to solve problems and improve current conditionsPreparation and active participation in site review processesRequired ExperienceBS Degree in Engineering or BusinessLean and/or Six Sigma3-5 years broad exposure to all aspects of plant operations with emphasis on Continuous Improvement, Plant Operations Leadership, or integrationMust be proven change leaders across a significant organizationBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, paid vacation, and 401K.Travel10% travel to the manufacturing locationsPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsThe physical demands and working conditions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
