Catholic Charities Marketing Associate

This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty. Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) is seeking an AmeriCorps member who is excited to bring fresh energy, clarity, and creativity to an agency committed to strengthening families and transforming lives. Over time, CCA’s marketing efforts have grown through many enthusiastic contributors, resulting in a rich collection of ideas, messages, and materials. This moment presents a unique opportunity to step back, evaluate what is working best, and build a more focused, strategic foundation that will support the agency’s mission for years to come. As CCA navigates a changing funding landscape, the organization is embracing innovation and resourcefulness, making this an ideal time for a motivated AmeriCorps member to make a meaningful impact. In this role, the AmeriCorps member will lead three key projects designed to enhance communication, deepen supporter engagement, and strengthen long-term sustainability. First, they will audit and optimize CCA’s communication channels to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and inspiring. Second, they will assess and refine the donor database to streamline supporter outreach and build stronger relationships. Finally, they will develop multiple supporter personas that will guide more strategic fundraising initiatives and help generate the resources needed to advance CCA’s wide range of programs serving individuals and families across the Atlanta community. Member Duties : - Audit Communication Channels: Evaluate all active communication platforms, including social media and CRM, to measure effectiveness and ROI - Determine which campaigns succeed and analyze the factors driving their impact - Compare CCA’s communications approach to current nonprofit and industry standards - Produce a clear report where the Mission Advancement team can strengthen efforts - Study supporter trends, and identify patterns that inform engagement strategies - Conduct Staff Interviews: Meet with key team members to understand supporter-engagement goals and integrate insights into persona development - Create Supporter Personas: Build personas, including up-and-coming segments, to guide targeted fundraising - Assess Reporting & Mailing Practices: Review agency processes for reporting and mailing efforts and compare them to longstanding nonprofit best practices - Develop Annual Calendars: build current-year supporter communications calendar and templates for future
