Organization Information: Mass General Brigham 399 Revolution Drive, Somerville, MA 02145 Position Title: Mentored Research Training in Aging and Surgery (MERITAS) Fellowship Job Description: Based in Boston, MA, MERITAS is the first NIH-funded two-year program designed to train surgical residents to conduct high-quality research aimed at improving perioperative care for older adults. Each year, the program provides 80% salary support for two residents. In addition to a robust training curriculum, MERITAS fellows receive tailored mentorship from Harvard Medical School faculty with expertise across a range of disciplines. We are also happy to work with interested applicants to identify mentors who align with their research interests and professional goals. The program provides 80% of salary funding. The remaining 20% should be provided by the home institution or an external grant. Applications open September 1, 2026.
