Data Analyst

Duration: 12+Month (Long-Term Contract with Potential Extensions) Interview Process: Video Tax Term: W2 Only, Own Corp Only Local Only Job Description We are looking for a Data Analyst / UAT Analyst with strong Data Analysis, Data Quality Analysis, SQL, healthcare, and Medicaid experience. Candidates must currently reside within one hour of Richmond, VA, as the role requires onsite work one day per week. Key Responsibilities Review design documents and proactively identify requirement gaps and issues. Map data between interface systems and assist the lead analyst with project collaboration, documentation, and coordination. Review and contribute to test plans and work with stakeholders to build test scenarios. Provide demonstrations to internal teams and project stakeholders. Work closely with Business, QA, and Development teams on project-related pre- and post-go-live issues. Develop workflows, provide solutions, track issues end to end, and ensure timely resolution and accurate delegation of ownership. Design, execute, and document comprehensive test cases and validation scripts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across data pipelines, ETL processes, and reports. Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries against the Teradata data warehouse to generate scheduled and ad-hoc operational and analytical reports. Act as the primary technical point of contact for the data warehouse vendor, escalating performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting data-loading issues, and tracking resolutions. Translate business requirements into actionable data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Maintain documentation of data definitions, reporting logic, testing procedures, and data warehouse schemas. Qualifications & Requirements 6+ years of experience in Data Analysis and Data Quality Analysis. 5+ years of experience with Medicaid or Medicare. 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on data testing and SQL development. Healthcare and Medicaid experience is required. Advanced SQL skills, specifically in Teradata environments, including performance tuning, BTEQ, and Teradata SQL Assistant. Demonstrated experience writing test plans, performing data validation, and identifying data anomalies or discrepancies. Experience working with third-party vendors, IT infrastructure teams, or database administrators to manage system updates and resolve issues. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field. Preferred Experience Working knowledge of state and federal Medicaid policy and regulatory reporting requirements. Experience with federal or state legislative policy implementations, including CMS rules, HR1 provisions, and Medicaid expansion/unwinding efforts. Experience working with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment data, health plan operations, and data such as encounters, claims, and clinical quality. Working knowledge of SAS, SQL, data mining software, statistical validation techniques, predictive modeling construction, and data visualization. Additional Skills & Experience Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports on complex concepts and findings to all organizational levels. Strong quantitative analysis skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to plan, organize, implement, and monitor large-scale, time-sensitive projects while collaborating across teams.
