Occupational Therapist (OT) – Alma School Outpatient ClinicHelp Children Build Skills, Confidence, and Independence

Arbor Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing Alma School clinic team in Chandler . You will provide individualized, evidence-based therapy to help children strengthen the skills they need to participate more fully in daily life-at home, at school, and in their communities.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Provide intervention addressing areas such as:
  • Fine motor and visual-motor development
  • Sensory processing and integration
  • Self-regulation
  • Feeding skills
  • Activities of daily living
  • Functional participation and independence
• Establish measurable goals and monitor client progress
• Modify treatment approaches based on each child's needs and response to intervention
• Educate and coach parents and caregivers to promote carryover at home and in the community
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, therapy assistants, and other members of the care team
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants and students when applicable
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license in good standing or eligibility to obtain Arizona licensure
• Current Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one before beginning employment
• Current CPR certification
• Current Article 9 certification by the time of hire
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Passion for working with children and families
• Commitment to clinical excellence, collaboration, and continued professional growth

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of pediatric occupational therapy experience
• Pediatric fieldwork experience for new graduates
• Experience or a strong interest in:
  • Early intervention
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Sensory integration
  • Feeding therapy
  • Neurodiversity-affirming care
• Familiarity with AAC and interdisciplinary communication supports
• Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish

Working Conditions

This position involves intermittent standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Therapists work closely with children who may have developmental, behavioral, sensory, or physical challenges and who may occasionally display challenging behaviors.
