These roles range from entry-level to skilled positions. Depending on qualifications and experience, employees will perform a range of duties related to professional baseball field preparation and turf maintenance.Typical responsibilities may include:Preparing and maintaining professional baseball fields, facilities, and amenities using a variety of hand and power tools, such as edgers and weed eatersAssisting with field reconditioning, including work on mounds, home plates, base paths, and infield edgesPainting fields, including foul lines and logosPerforming general maintenance tasks such as leaf removal, dugout cleaning, and litter controlAssisting with the application of drying materialsHelping pull and manage infield tarps during inclement weatherPerforming general facility cleaningThe ideal candidate for this position will have:A basic understanding of field maintenance practices and the ability to follow standard procedures and written instructionsStrong communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably with facility users and team personnelInterest in a flexible, part-time schedule of approximately 20–25 hours per weekAvailability to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends, depending on assignmentA strong commitment to safety, punctuality, teamwork, and a solid work ethicThe ability to work effectively in high-traffic public areasThe ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong self-motivationAn understanding that, while field and turf maintenance are the primary focus, cross-functional support may be required based on operational needsTo view complete job description, click here.About PeoriaThe City of Peoria, AZ is a thriving city in the Northwest Valley that provides excellent municipal services to our community.
