Advanced Studio Assistant

The Advanced Studio Assistant is accountable for advanced maintenance of Visual Art Center Studios and advanced assistance to faculty and students in those studios.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists Studio Manager with maintenance of studios and laboratories

• Troubleshoots and provides assistance with a variety of advanced studio issues.

• Prints large documents for other departments throughout the university as needed

• Performs related duties as assigned

Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

Must be Federal Work Study Eligible

Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter

• Ability to work independently to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems in a range of studios and communicate the problem and resolution to the appropriate stakeholder(s).

• A minimum of four art or design courses is required, and be in good academic standing.

• An advanced understanding of techniques and maintenance in at least three of the following studios: Ceramics, Laser, Wood, 3-D Printing, Painting, Printing, and Mac Lab.

• Knowledge of Adobe Suite

• Demonstrated skill in professional speaking, writing, and visual communication
