Job Overview Gorbel is a manufacturer of material handling and fall protection products for the production and warehouse/distribution sectors. The company works on the cutting edge of manufacturing and distribution and is continually seeking new ways to innovate and improve products and processes. We are seeking a Supply Chain Process Improvement Analyst to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, spearhead projects and cross‑functional collaboration to achieve successful outcomes. The role involves developing and deploying reports and analytics to guide supply‑chain planning and decision‑making. Responsibilities Drive continuous improvement utilizing problem‑solving skills and tools. Travel to suppliers and/or company facilities, including day and overnight travel. Identify exceptions proactively and determine parts that need to be expedited. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. Process non‑conforming material reports (NCMRs) promptly. Initiate engineering inquiries and submit formal ECN requests. Perform blanket purchase order (BPO) analysis, set‑up, maintenance, and distribution of new BPOs. Analyze opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels, and reduce costs. Provide forecast data to key suppliers to support deliveries within required lead times. Initiate, review and analyze supplier price quotations. Work with finance to take advantage of early payment discounts. Provide regular performance feedback to assigned preferred, qualified or approved suppliers and ensure close‑out of corrective action requests. Resolve escalated issues between Gorbel and suppliers. Possess relevant technical commodity skills to be seen as credible by peers and managers. Participate in cross‑functional make‑vs‑buy decisions and provide recommendations. Inform, convince and persuade others to take action on key commodity strategy initiatives/objectives. Support special projects related to product launches and other supply‑chain initiatives. Achieve excellent results in annual cost improvement, supplier quality/delivery, supplier lead times/minimum order quantities, supplier consolidation and contract coverage with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications College degree or 2 to 10 years of equivalent experience. Strong Microsoft Office business acumen. Experience with lean / continuous improvement tools and programs. Excellent communication skills. Independent judgment and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Prior supply‑chain (purchasing, buying, planning, materials) experience preferred. ERP experience required. Work Environment ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements: occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.; sitting, working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. Primary work environment is a professional corporate office.
