Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountant to strengthen our growing presence and business operations in Northern Europe. This position plays an important role in our team’s financial reporting, compliance, and ongoing improvement efforts. This position reports to the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting located in Oslo, Norway. Key Responsibilities Perform day-to‑day bookkeeping activities, including handling incoming and outgoing invoices. Ensure compliance with Norwegian GAAP, VAT, and Tax requirements. Conduct account reconciliations and support monthly and year‑end closing activities. Execute and maintain internal controls for designated areas. Participate in controlling activities, including budget tracking, cost control initiatives and performance analysis. Prepare and review internal reports, providing actionable financial insights to support management decision‑making and oversight. Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or audit. Experience from manufacturing environment is a plus. Strong understanding of Norwegian GAAP, VAT, and Tax regulations is required. Experience with SOX/internal control frameworks is preferred. Proficiency in Excel is essential; familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus. Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is considered an advantage. Fluency in Norwegian and English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
