Concession Stand Attendant

The Concession Stand Attendant will be assigned duties at the Hole 19 Bar and Grill, located in the brand-new Chesapeake Hills Clubhouse. This position will also be expected to work during various events occurring at the Clubhouse.

Performs food preparation and service work for concession stands located in County Parks, including Breezy Point Beach and Campground Store. The work involves preparing food and snacks for the general public, assisting customers with the selection of merchandise, and collecting fees for products.

Essential Job Functions

• Opens and closes concession stand or camp store.
• Operates all food preparation equipment and prepares the food.
• Operates a cash register.
• Serves food and beverages to the general public.
• Collects fees for food, beverages, and merchandise.
• Ensures all foods are properly handled.
• Records financial data and food volume sold; organizes and tabulates data and completes reports.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, floors, walls, and work areas.
• Replenishes and restocks food, beverages, and merchandise.

Other Duties

• Performs related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (These are pre-employment KSA that apply only to Essential Job Functions.)

• Knowledge of--

  • Food service skills.
  • Food service sanitation.

• Ability to--

  • Make arithmetic computations quickly and accurately.
  • Deal effectively with the public.

Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.)

Training and/or Education:

Completion of the tenth grade.

Experience:

None

Licenses or Certificates:

Food sanitation certificate desirable.

Special Requirements:

Must be 16 years of age.

Work Permit required if under 18 years of age.

Subject to background investigation.

Physical Demands:

Work requires long periods of standing in a small enclosed area, and the lifting of light to medium items.

Unusual Demands:

Worker is exposed to dirt and soil.

Compensation Steps:

Pay rate: $16.42 per hour
